Light Foot participated in a river restoration project at the Rio Vista Park located at the convergence of Don Jose Arroyo and the Santa Fe River in Santa Fe, New Mexico.  Our work included installation of trees and shrubs, installation of a temporary gravity fed irrigation system, and seeding and hydro-mulching with native grasses and wildflowers.  No supplemental water was provided to seeded areas.

New plantings were installed, beds mulched and fed, river boulders placed, and irrigation extended.  The remaining ground space was prepared, seeded with drought-tolerant species, and hydro-mulched.  The area was watered regularly.  Seed germinated and the images above were taken within 4 to 6 weeks after work was completed.
